background: Chikus mother was on the way from Moshi to Arusha with her three daughters, when the bus had an accident and she was injured so badly that she couldn't make it. One woman saw the 3 girls crying over their mothers body, so she took them to hospital and tried to find their remaining family members. Unfortunately their family could not be found so the woman took the girls home first and later to Fruitful. One of those three already got sponsored and visits the Blue Sky School.

background: Juniors mother fell in love with a new man and his father was fighting with that man over her. In the end, Juniors mother refused her husband, which led to Juniors father poisining himself and dying on the way to the hospital. His mother is married to the new man now and didn't want to take Junior with her.

background: Mariams mother had a relationship with a man, that didn't love her and never intended to marry her. She stayed with him because she needed money for her mother, who was sick. One day she got pregnant by that man, he gave her money to abort the baby but Mariams mother decided not to do that and gave birth to her girl, which she named Mariam. After that she had some jobs on farms until she got pregnant by an owner of her workplace and that one sent her away because he feared problems with his wife. Mariams mother got her second baby, Eric (he visits our Baby Class), and decided to leave them at her parents because she did not know how to feed both of them. After Mariams and Erics grandparents died, we started to take care of them. Mariam didn't visit the Baby class so she missed the basics of english and had to catch up within a short period of time. Fortunately she is a fast learner and works very hard.

Our lovely girl found a sponsor and will join the Blue Sky school in july 2017!

background: Ilices mother married a new man after her husband has passed away. In Tanzania most men don't want to marry a woman that already has a baby from someone else, so Ilices mother left her at her uncles'. Since her uncle has kids on his own and no job, he can't offer Ilice a good education and sends her to Fruitful everyday.

background: Irenes parents killed themselves by drinking poison because after loosing their jobs, life got very hard for them. They were not able to feed Irene and she was already suffering from malnutrition. Luckily, Irenes aunt had already sent 3 of her other nephews to Fruitful and informed us soon enough, so we sent Irene to the hospital, where she recovered. After that Irene moved to Fruitful, because her aunt has 3 children on her own and no husband.

Irene's sponsor fell in love with her immediately after seeing her and sent her to school!

background: Davids mother got pregnant when she was in secondary school, form level two. The father refused to support her and after her father passed away, she didn't know how to feed her son. She decided to run away and leave David with his grandmother. The old woman has no job either and therefore can't pay for Davids education.

background: Joshuas mother got pregnant when she was in class 7 and ran away after giving birth. She left her son at her parents but Joshuas grandfather passed away in 2014 and his grandmother followed very soon. Joshuas uncles refused to take care of him, so he had no other place to stay from then on.

background: We recieved Sosthenes and his brother from their uncle who is still trying to take care of them. He already had 5 kids on his own and after his brothers death, he gave his 5 nephews and nieces shelter. When he realized that he was not able to give all of the 10 kids a good education, he asked us for help.

background: Innocent grew up only having a mother because his father died of alcoholism. Having 12 children, his mother couldnt handle caring for all of them. We offered to take three of them into our care. Innocent is the only one who has not been sponsored yet.

background: Swahibas mother was working in a bar, selling alcohol. We guess that she was also drinking a lot of alcohol at that moment. Altough she was married, she was in contact with different men, so she doesn't know which one is Swahibas father. Her husband left her after discovering that. The owner of the bar also threw her out because of her pregnancy. Now she is living with a new man, who supports her renting a room but he is not willing to pay for Swahibas education.

background: Brighton was found on the street when he was 4 years old. He repeated saying that he lost his mother. The man who found Brighton was looking for his mother one month with help of the police but no one missed Brighton. So he took him home but could only care for him for a short period of time, after that he brought him to Fruitful.
