Baby Class

Baby Class

Name: Johnson

lives at Fruitful since January 2017, started to visit in February 2016

year of birth: 2011

background: The family that brought Johnson to us hired his mother when she had already been pregnant. Unfortunately they could not afford a taxi to the hospital as she started giving birth, so she had to give birth at home. As usual for local births, Johnsons mother lost a lot of blood and altough she received medical treatment, she passed away one week later. Luckily Johnson could stay with that family until he turned three, then we started to help out.

Name: Nelson

lives at Fruitful since August 2016

year of birth: 2014

background: The father of Nelson and his sister Queen (also in Baby Class) worked as a truck driver and became a victim of an accident on the way to Uganda in 2014. When their mother heard about that, she decided to run away and leave her parents alone with Nelson and Queen. Just two days after that, the situation got even worse after their grandfather passed away too and left the 70-year-old grandma in an overwhelming dilemma: because of the other son loosing his job, they were not able to care for the kids anymore and had no other choice than to send them to Fruitful. We hope that from now on the lifes of Nelson and Queen are more fortunate than before.

She asked her brother for help, who already has 6 children on his own, but he agreed. He is trying hard but is only able to send two of his kids to school, so he asked us if we can take Wisdom and his older sister Nancy (who visits our Class two) to Fruitful. Additionally his room is not big enough for 8 children and he can't feed them all. Unfortunately we are also struggling with space and we are only able to offer them our lessons. As soon as we have more room, we will take them to Fruitful.
